Years of study have led me through still life painting, abstraction and feminism and into works of art that were nothing more than skilled mimickry and full of anguish. All of the paintings created, painted over, rehashed and thrown away brought me to the subject matter I am dealing with now. I have spent years trying to find my subject, the reason why I create, and found that it's quite simple -- I absolutely love and live to paint and I paint images that exploit those feelings. Unicorns, ostrich, blue chickens, human hybrids -- all are excuses to create.
